Sweat for Savannah Benefit in Newark Delaware
A local Delaware child needs our help. Last August Savannah had been complaining of pain below her hip, the doctor said it was just growing pains, when suddenly a large protrusion appeared. At A.I. DuPont Hospital, Savannah was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, Ewing Sarcoma. Since August Savannah is going through an intense chemo treatment that has her in and out of A.I. DuPont. She will soon be done her chemo treatment and will begin stem cell replacement. Savannah is one of the toughest and brightest 9 year olds you will ever meet. Her courage and tenaciousness is an inspiration for all. This family’s world has been turned upside down. Their graciousness during this raging battle has been remarkable. Now it is our turn to reach out and help this family.
On Saturday, May 16, 1614 Fitness & Aerobics will sponsor its 1st Annual 1614 Family 5K/Pump & Run/walk – Sweat for Savannah 2009. Aside from the pump & run/walk, they will have live music, booths with local merchants selling their goods, and other festivities throughout the day. All proceeds will go directly to the family. Please show your support any way you can.

I am asking all of my friends (and friends of friends) to help me support a child cancer foundation that I really believe in.
It is a facebook contest at http://bit.ly/crkrEE and the name of the foundation is called The Seany Foundation (their site is at http://www.theseanyfoundation.org/).
Seany died of Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer a few years ago and he was a teenager. I knew Seany and promised his family I would help where I could. Chase Bank is having a charity contest ending in about 6 days and if you could VOTE (it is free to vote) with your facebook account AND post it to your facebook wall, I would really, really appreciate it. http://bit.ly/crkrEE
